Anyone who knows my hubby knows that he is pretty mcuh always working. In fact I never really get to see him that much, but I am not complaining because Jer works hard so that we can have a better and less stressful life, which I appreciate very much. Latley he has been feeling like he has nothing in his life that is fun, basically a hobby. He has mentioned a few times in the past that he sometimes wishes having a dirt bike. So we went and started to look, oh did I say look no I meant to BUY! We have a friend that works at NCY and Jer and I stopped by to see him and see what they had in stock. Jer was taken upstairs where he was shown a used bike that he had to have, and by that I mean he put it on hold and then went and picked it up the next day. Here are some of the pictures from when he brought the bike home. He can be such a kid about things somtimes.

Spending time with my family is the most important thing to me. So when I get the chance to see Amber, Jake, and Ella along with my mom and Jer, even if it's only for a few hours at a mall on a Sunday I take it. Jer, my mom, and I drove up to Mission Viejo mall to spend some time together. Ella is walking (10 months people), and Jake is just getting to be such a big boy being in Kindergarten and all. We shopped and had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory!!! Jake ordered a yummy hot chocolate with extra whip cream and a cherry on top. I just love these two kids so very much.

On October 4th, 2008 Jenn Daquila and Josh Lake tied the knot at Falkner Winery in Temecula. This is the 2nd Lake/Daquila Wedding that I have been to. Almost 2 years ago Chris (Josh's brother) and Andee (Jenn sister's) got married, and both Jer and I had the honor of being apart of that wedding. Jenn and Josh are one of the cutest couples that I have ever seen. When Jenn walked down the towards Josh she looked so incredibly beautiful and happy, and the look on Josh's face while Jenn walked towards him was so sweet. They are perfect for one another and I know that they are going to have an amazing life together. They just purchased their first home, and now that they are married they can move towards the next chapter of their life. I love them both very much and am so grateful that I was able to be apart of their special day! Congratulations Jenn & Josh!

Last week I came home from work and I told Jer that we were going to buy a new camera. So we went to Fry's and I picked out the camera that I wanted. Okay so today is one of my best friends 31st birthday. I have known Brie since I was in the 6th grade so if you really calculate that out it's 19 years. WOW!!!! We have shared so many things together. I will never forget when we went to 6th grade camp. Most people don't know this but I am a total mommas girl. Anyway we went to Camp Cuyaumaca for a whole week. When my dad dropped me off at school to go I was a little apprehensive but thought all my friends are going and it will be fun. WRONG!!! After we got their and got our cabin/bed assignments I had a total break down. I wasn't with any girls that I knew. Needless to say they let me bunk with Brie and I felt much better. I still hated the whole experience but at least I had Brie. I love her so much and am so grateful to have had her in my life. We have laughed like no other, we have cried like no other, we have fought like no other, but through it all we have still remained best pals. I love her with all my heart and can't wait until we are 85 laughing at some of the stupidest crap ever. Happy Birthday Brigette Diane Harnly-Smith.

Weekend With the Fam/Circus

I haven't blogged for awhile and I am so very sorry. Life in general has been really busy. Anyway last weekend my mom and I drove up to spend the weekend with Ben, Ambs, and the kiddies. It was my last half day for the for the summer so we got to leave around noon on Friday. It had been a month since the last time we were together. Anyway it was a fun weekend. Saturday we went to the Circus, which was a total blast. Jake's favorite thing to do is go have "Shushi". So Ben stayed home with Ella and the girls took Jake out for Sushi. Before we knew it the weekend was over. I miss them so much but I treasure all the fun times that we get to be together.

Del Mar Fair

So I know that the Del Mar Fair is now called the San Diego County Fair but to me it will always be the Del Mar Fair. On Monday Amber, Ben, Ella, Jake, Jer, Mom, and Me went to the Fair for the Tuff Truck Races. It turned out to be a great day. The weather was perfect and it really wasn't that crowded. We ate a lot of crap (Jer got sick when we got home), Jake rode come of the rides, and we saw all the exhibits.

311-Unity

On Friday night Jer, Chris, Andee, and I went and saw 311 and Snoop Dogg. I am the hugest most biggest 311 fan. I first saw them in 1996 when MTV was here for the Rock the Vote campaign. I have since seen them almost every year since then. Nothing is more exciting for me then the moment right before they take the stage. It is like I become a completely different person, dancing, screaming, and totally freaking out. This year 311 was on tour with Snoop Dogg aka Snoop-a-loop. Now I know what you are all thinking "Sage and Snoop Dogg" kind of a weird combo. But let me tell you when the music started and Snoop took the stage I was screaming. I mean I was thinking "We are seeing Snoop Dogg!". Of course nothing beats seeing 311 (Nick, SA, Chad, Tim, and P-nut). Although the show seemed a little shorter than normal I was still totally thrilled. I just can't wait until next year when they are in San Diego once again.

Yesterday was my sister's 29th birthday! We had been trying to figure out what we wanted to do for her birthday. She decieded that she wanted to see Wicked the musical. Amber got the tickets and my mom, Ambs, and I went to see Wicked at the Pantages Theater. It was an amazing show and we had such a great time. Happy Birthday Ambs!!! I hope that you had a great time. We are for sure going to be going back to see the show again. Jer and Ben be ready cause you are going to be taking the family.

4th Wedding Anniversary

Today is Jer and my 4th wedding anniversary. I can not believe that 4 years has gone by. I know it sounds corny but it really does feel like it was just yesterday. This morning when I got to work I was talking about the day and remembering every detail. Surprisingly I remember a lot. The day couldn't have been more perfect. I was so nervous when my Dad came to get me to walk me down the aisle. It was a very emotional ceremony (Jer cried a lot). I think it is one of those moments that you really realize that you were so meant to be together.

It was one of the most exciting days.

Padre Game

I was so excited when my Dad called to tell me that he had Padre tickets. We hadn't been to a game this whole season My Dad was able to get four tickets so I called Brie and Garon to see if they wanted to come along. The Padres of course lost to the Cubs but it was a fun night. Brie and I were trying to get our picture together and when Garon would use Brie's camera my sweet husband had his face somewhere in the background. When Jer tried to take our picture with my camera Brie's sweet husband was in the background. Isn't that just to cute! Overall we had a really great night!

My New Car!

For those of you that don't know my very first car was a 1978 BMW 325i, pictured above. I loved that car and have a lot of really great memories with that car (Brie and Ambs I hope that you guys remember). About a year after I got that car it had needed a ton of mechanical work and it was going to be really expensive to fix so inevitably we sold the car.

At the beginning of the year I had decided that I wanted to get a new car (not that I didn't have a 2007 Toyota Prius) but whatever. I really liked the new Mercedes C300 and in March Jer took me to the dealership to test drive the car that I wanted. We ended up ordering one and they told me it would take 90 days to get the car. In the meantime Jer also wanted me to test drive other cars to be sure that when the Mercedes came in I would be really happy and be sure that it was what I really wanted. So on a Sunday afternoon we went and test drove the BMW's. Now when I was in high school a brand new BMW was the ultimate dream car but I never really thought that the BMW was in our budget. We test drove and fell in love but at the last second I chickened and we walked I mean I hadn't even sold my Prius for goodness sake and we were buying a car. NNNNNOOOOO WWWWAAAAYYYY!!!! Two weeks later I had sold my car and we came home with the brand new 335i. All I have to say is "I Love My Car" but you know who loves it more than me JER! Guys and cars that go fast. The car only belongs to me Monday-Friday and the nights and weekends belong to him (yeah right!).

Last Episode Tonight!

I am sitting on my couch trying to get myself prepared to watch the last episode of the greatest Television show ever, JERICHO! I am saddened that CBS has decided to cancel the show for the 2nd time. I have enjoyed getting to know the characters and the story line. I will however not give up the hope that another network would pick up the show for a 3rd season. I want to thank everyone who has listened to me rant and rave about this show, and how much I love it including Skeet Ulrich. For those of you that took my advice and watched the show I new that you would all love it and it would come to be your favorite show. Goodbye to Jake Green, Robert Hawkins, Eric Green, Stanley & Bonnie (RIP) Richmond, Mimi, Heather, Emily, Mary Bailey & Bailey's Tavern, Johnston & Gail Green, Darcy, Major Beck, Gray, The Rangers, Jennings and Rall, Cheyenne, The Allied States of America, and all the cast members and crew that took part in an amazing show.

Happy 32nd Birthday!

Today is my husbands 32nd birthday!! I really can not believe that we have gotten to be this old (which really isn't that old) but time sure flies by these days. Last year Jer really wanted to buy a new Tundra. He had actually ordered it exactly the way that he wanted. By the time the truck was delivered he had totally changed his mind and we both really liked having a large sum of money in our savings. Needless to say over the last year he has driven a few different vehicles but just hasn't been very happy. Over the weekend (Saturday) he took me to look at trucks and test drove the truck of his dreams. I'm not really sure what it is other than I know that it is a GMC and that it is really BIG! We left the dealership without having bought the truck but deep down I knew that he really wanted it, because he couldn't stop talking about that truck all night long. On Sunday as I was leaving for a baby shower he asked me to leave him a check just in case he decided to go back to the dealership. I thought to myself he isn't going to really buy that truck really is he? Guess what he did. When I got home from the shower it was in the driveway. After having a melt down over how much money it was going to cost I realized that Jer does so many things for other people. He would sacrifice anything if meant that I could have whatever I wanted. He has been like a little kid over this truck. He is so excited and when he drives it all he says is "This truck is bad ass" or " I really love this truck". When I hear him say that I know that he really means it. He wanted to buy the truck on his birhtday (today) so we are pretending that he did even though he got it on Sunday. So HAPPY BIRHTDAY JER!! I love you so much, and know that you will always take care of me no matter what.

Jericho!!!

So my new favorite TV Show is Jericho!!! I remember seeing previews for the show back in 2006, and I actually thought I really like Skeet Ulrich I should watch that show. I never watched one episode probably because I got into a reaity tv show that was on at the same time(what a do-do!). Jer's grandparents did watch and they bought the first season, which they let us borrow about two weeks ago. I have never been so addicted to a show in my life. The show was cancelled but with the efforts of a huge fan base NUTS!!! the show has been brought back for 7 more episodes, with the hopes of a 3rd season (cross of fingers).

The premise of the show is the aftermath of a nuclear explosion with Jericho being the town that has somehow survived but has not contact with the outside. Skeet Ulrich plays Jake Green who has returned to Jericho (his hometown) right before the explosion and in turn becomes the hero.

We have watched all of the first season, and on February 12th the 7 episodes began basically now rebuilding Jericho and learning about the "new government". The storyline and the actors are fantastic. I am a die-hard fan and will do anything to keep the show on the air. My goal in life is to get as many people to watch this show. It is the kind of show that is thought provoking, riveting, keeps you on the edge of your seat. Go out and buy Season 1, rent Season 1, download episodes from iTunes, or just watch the show Tuesdays at 10:00pm. You will not be sorry.

New Kids on the Block

Can it be? Is it True? Yes it is true the New Kids on the Block are getting back together!!!!! I was one of the biggest NKOTB fans back in the day. Jordan, Joey, Jon, Donnie, and Danny (in order of likeness). My room was decorated with all New Kids stuff-posters strategically placed on the wall, the pillow with Jordan Knight, the pins on my denim jacket, the dolls, the cartoons, you name it I had it. I even had a pair of jeans air-brushed just for the New Kids. When I was in 7th grade my sister, one of my best-friends Kimmy, and I went to their concert. I still remember it to this day. A few months after Jer and I got married my sister was listening to the radio and they announced that Jordan Knight was going to be at the Belly Up in Solana Beach, and the 10th caller could win two tickets. My sister actually won those tickets. So her and I went down to see his concert. It was so awesome. I still after all those years got butterflies in my stomach. I am so excited that they are a back to start "Hangin Tough". I know I am total dork but I will always be a New Kids Fan Forever!!!

Family Outing

First I just want to say that I am sorry that I haven't blogged for a while. Christmas came and went, we rang in the New Year, and have been sick for the last three weeks. Anyway yesterday my mom and I drove up to the Mission Viejo Mall to meet my sister, Jacob, and Ella. I hadn't seen them for a few weeks and was having serious withdrawls. I just needed to hold little Ella and spend some time with the Jakester. It is so hard to not see them everyday. We shopped and had lunch. It was a great afternoon!!!

ELLA JANE LOWRY!!

On November 24th, 2007 my niece, Ella Jane Lowry was born at 2:46 am. She is the most beautiful little girl. Ben and my sister are going to be the most amazing parents, and Jacob is going to be the most amazing big brother. I am so grateful that I was able to be with them in the room and watch this baby come into this world. I can't wait to get to know her and take her shopping.

Thanksgiving was hosted by yours truly this year. Since my sister was due to have a baby any day I figured that I would host Thanksgiving so that my mom didn't have to cook a huge dinner for a total of four people. We had Jer's grandparents and parents as well as my parents over for dinner. Jer's grandma cooked the turkey and my mom and I did all the sides. We just wanted to make sure that if we had to leave for my sister's (if she went into labor) we could just go. With that being said she didn't go into labor and we had a really nice Thanksgiving!

Sam's Town Las Vegas Bowling!

For those of you that don't know for the last 22 weeks Jer and I have been in a bowling league with our best-friends, Chris and Andee. Out team name was Three Friends and a Perv, and of course we were the last place team of the the whole league. The last game of the seasons was played at Sam's Town in Las Vegas. I was not looking forward to going but we actually had a really great time. We spent two nights at Sam's Town and then Chris, Andee, Jer and I headed over to The Venetian for two more nights. The rooms at The Venetian were fantastic. They were so huge, since the hotel is all suite hotel. Every night housekeeping came in to turn down our beds and left chocolate on the pillows. Jer and I hadn't been in Vegas for 4 years so we had fun cruising the strip checking out some of the new hotels. The Wynn is probably the most beautiful hotel I have ever been. Chris and Andee also celebrated their one year wedding anniversary while we were there.

Freaking Fantastic

I feel so bad that I forgot to give you all an update about my hair appointment last Tuesday. I was so nervous. When I sat down in the chair for Kristen to start I literally told her "I am very nervous just so you know". I then explained to her exactly what I wanted and guess what when it was all said and done and I looked into the mirror I was so excited. My haircut and color were Freaking Fantastic. HOORAY!!!!!! I had to call Andee right away to tell her that it turned out great and I was very happy. I think that Andee felt a huge sense of relief. I mean I had put a lot of pressure on her since she did recommend Kristen. So I say THANK YOU Andee!!!!

Freaking Out

In about 30 minutes I am off to get my hair done by someone for the 1st time. Can I just say that I am freaking out. My hair is a big deal to me (as it is for every female). The gal that I am going to was recommended to me by one of my best-friends Andee, so I have already informed her that if my hair is not right I am coming for her (Andee you know that I am kidding =-) ). Saturday Night Fun!

So last night Jer and I went to dinner at Brie and Garon's. I always look forward to seeing Travis, Marissa, Brie, Garon, and the kiddos. As always good times and fantastic laughs were had by all. Brie is such a good cook. We made build your own Pizza's with real pizza dough. I wish I was more creative in the kitchen. We just have to do it more often, and make a point to make it a priority (are you girls reading that). And yes Brie you are right we should have taken the camera out and shot a few pictures. We also played a game called WHATIF...., which is hysterical. Thanks Smith family for having us down. So whose house is it going to be next month. Well there are only two choices me or Missie. Love you guys!

Maui 2007

Finally I am taking the time to sit down and blog about our summer vacation. This was the second year that the whole famdamily went to Maui, and I have to say that this year was even better than last year. Because my sister doesn't live very close it is always so awesome to be together for two whole weeks. Having Jacob wake us up in the morning, sharing my morining coffee with my mom, playing Skipbo, laughing, and feeling the the soon to be Lowry baby moving around in my sister's tummy are just some of the things that I treasure. I can't wait to go next year and do it all over again!!! I love you all so very much and am so grateful that we had another fantastic Maui vacation.

Good Friends!

I often don't get the chance to tell my girlfriends how much they mean to me. Nicky, Brigette and I have been friends since we were in the 6th grade. While our lives sometimes feel like they are going in a million directions we always try to get together and just catch up even if it's only for a quick dinner. We have been there for each other for everything; weddings, babies, break-ups, greatest loves, moving away, and moving home, happy times, and the saddest.
